Quantum Nature

QUANTUM NATURE is a video work by new media artist Robi Voigt. Based on a historical herbarium and photographs of ecological crises, Voigt uses image-generating AI models to create a poetic and visionary cosmos of plants and climate that continuously transforms over the course of a 34-minute loop. A voice-based AI comments on the emerging speculative ecological scenarios, reflecting on scientific certainties, nature, biodiversity and digital botany. Voigt’s concept of “eco-morphosis” offers a sensory experience of the subtle distinction between reality and imagination, and between the past, present, and future. Poetic and visually striking, QUANTUM NATURE raises awareness of the beauty and fragility of our planet.
